SASS stands for 'Street Animals of Sarnath Service'. We are a circle of animal friends who offer free vaccinations and adoption services for street dogs- and more recently- cows and calves -in Sarnath in India. For every family that adopts a street animal here, we offer free education to children from that family at the local Universal school. The program - entitled 'Alice in Wonderland' has been remarkably successful - thanks to the children of Sarnath! We welcome your input and suggestions!

A visit from Copenhagen friends...

Yesterday, in the sweltering heat of late-May, Tara Thorsen and her friend from Copenhagen in Denmark, paid a loving visit to SASS ashrama. I understand that all the animals - including our little bull, Nandi, gave her a resounding welcome. It was just fantastic to feel the connexion - clear across the globe - with friends who care. Thanks, Tara!
